A guided journal of breathing, yoga, and meditation exercises to help clear a path for your creative process.
Water Log is a guided journal of breathing, yoga, and meditation exercises to help clear a path for your creative process.
We believe, and at times, those beliefs can define us.
From a very early age, we begin to believe. Unconditionally, we believe.
We believe in the power laughter has as we learn to laugh as babies and the power of love
with our mother’s touch. We quickly believe in forgiveness as the words "uh-oh" escape from
our mouths.
As we grow, those beliefs become more complex. They vary from our faith in a higher power to
other beliefs that can differ within the same household.
- Your Dad might believe that God handpicks the New York Yankees.
- Your Mom might believe that a glass of wine every night will prevent a heart attack.
- Your sister might believe that Carlos Santana plays guitar like Jesus; if Jesus played
guitar, that is.
While I don't think anyone has gone to war over Santana, wine, or The New York Yankees, our
belief systems grow to be deeply rooted and complex.
As we grow and develop, sometimes we forget about those early years when as babies, we
believe in love, happiness, and forgiveness. We forget about the undying belief we had in
ourselves to take that first step across the room.
I created this journal to help you reconnect with your belief in yourself because you are
amazing.
Within this journal, we are going to take a journey.
While we walk together through this journey, what I’m going to tell you has been said before,
and it’s nothing new.
You might have heard it from an ancient yoga text, but you likely listened to this information
from your teacher, mom, or grandma.
Where did I get most of the information in this journal? Religion, Yoga (Ashtavakra Gita,
Bhagavad Gita), my teachers, my parents, and my grandparents.
I’ve created this journal to help make remembering those things we all already know a little
easier.
We are all on this walk together, but you can go at your own pace.
This journey involves
- Breathing exercises.
- Yoga poses.
- Meditations.
- Writing exercises.
None of these exercises should physically hurt. If you feel pain, please stop the movement and
consult your doctor before continuing.
For this journey, you will need:
- A safe place to be
- A yoga mat
- A blanket
- A pen or pencil
- A mobile phone or computer
